*Building a Solar System? Save some $$*

When purchasing new lead acid batteries you get charged a "core charge" if you don’t have an old battery to turn in. For somebody building a solar system that can add up pretty quick. Typically it’s 10 bux per battery. 10 batteries is about 100 bux wasted by paying the charge. There’s an easy way around that. That 100 bux saved could be two new batteries.

Just scrounge up some old batteries. I have access to an entire junkyard full of them. The owner is happy to off load them so then he doesn’t have to mess around with disposal.

60 dollars of junk sitting right there.

Take a junker for each new battery you are going to buy.
