*Safety Glasses *

Safety glasses only work if you wear them.

Accidents happen when you least expect them especially when you are in a normal comfort zone.

I was coiling up a TV cable on a portable satellite dish. I have done this more times than I can remember but today it got me. Temperature in the low 40’s contributed to this incident by making the cable stiffer, but it could have been prevented by wearing my safety glasses. This was a wakeup call and could have ended up being a permanent eye injury instead of just a small laceration on the eyebrow.

Picture, taken after the bleeding stopped, shows the lacerations that could have resulted in a permanent eye injury had it made contact with the eye.

Notice how my safety glasses cover up the injury.

Safety glasses can work, but only if you wear them.
