*Air Brake Anti-Freeze Tip*

It's that time of year again, cold freezing weather is upon us. It's time to start putting air brake anti-freeze in our commercial trucks. Here is a quick tip to make pouring air brake anti-freeze easier. Take the pointed top off a quart bottle of 90w gear oil, the kind you use to put oil in axle hubs, and put it on a quart bottle of air brake anti-freeze. This will make it much easier to pour the air brake anti-freeze into alcohol evaporators, air lines or air tanks. It's not a perfect fit so don't squeeze the bottle too hard. Also wear gloves when pouring this stuff; you don't want it on your hands. At best it makes your hands really cold and at worst it can cause frostbite in cold weather.
