*STP Gas Treatment*
Due to a malfunction the other day I was able to put STP Gas Treatment to the test. It makes claims that it will remove water from gas. Well...somehow the gas in my jug got contaminated and I dumped 5 gallons in to the tractor so I could make the 12 mile trip home. About 1/4 of a mile up the dirt road it started coughing and sputtering and lost power. It died in the road, I was able to get it going enough to move it off to the side. My girlfriend was following me in the truck so she took me to Napa and I bought a bottle of STP for $1.88. One bottle will treat 14 gallons and I figured I had about 7 in the tank. I dumped the entire bottle in and then fired up the motor. It coughed and sputtered for a few minutes until the STP got sucked down through the carburetor. After probably 3-4 minutes the motor was purring.
I took off up the road and it ran like a top all the way home. Even a few days after the problem the gas is still working fine.
So I guess I'll be going back to Napa and stocking up a few bottles of it and throwing one in the tractor's tool kit.
I don't know how the stuff works, but I'll give it 2 thumbs up!
